Pick Up a Red Bag

We need your help stocking the food pantries of two Seminole County schools we serve: Winter Springs Elementary School and Milwee Middle School. During the school year, every two weeks we deliver food to these schools to help feed the children who might not have food for the weekend. We fell a little short of the need last year and hope that you will help us meet our goal of 20,000 pounds in 2017!

Items Requested for Schools: 
Although we appreciate the generosity of everyone, we need specific items in order to pack the proper weekend bag of food for each child. Cans should be 16 ounces or smaller, and no glass containers can be accepted. Please be sure the food is not expired. The items we request are:

• Fruit (cups or canned)
• Vegetables (canned)
• Protein items (canned meats, stew, tuna)
• Ravioli/spaghetti (canned) (No boxed pasta)
• Soup (canned)
• Breakfast items (bars, cereal, oatmeal)
• Snack/treat items (individually wrapped)
• Peanut butter and jelly (plastic jars)

Red Bag Serve Project

We need lots of volunteers to help sort the food on Sunday, August 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The Rink. Join us before or after service. This is a kid-friendly project!
